HIGHCLIFF is a soaring 252.4 metres skyscraper designed as a 73-storey luxury apartment tower, one of the tallest residential buildings in Hong Kong. Situated on a Mount Nicholson hillside along Stubbs Road in the Mid-Levels East area of Hong Kong Island, HIGHCLIFF boasts dramatic views overlooking Happy Valley as well as lush green mountain vistas. Developed by Central Development Ltd. in conjunction with Dennis Lau and Ng Chun Man Architects & Engineers, the property was completed in 2003. The architectural concept was to create a tall, relatively thin building, fitted with a passive wind damper as a precautionary measure against strong winds or a typhoon; the first design of its kind for a residential building in the Territory. The residential floors begin on the 10/F, with each floor comprising two flats each. The saleable sizes range from 2,592 to 2,739 sq. ft. in 4-bedroom layouts. Special larger units start on the 67/F up to the top with only one apartment per floor. The saleable area is above 5,300 sq.ft., providing 113 units in total. The resident’s clubhouse, located on the7/F, 8/F and 9/F, offers facilities such as an outdoor swimming pool, a fully equipped gym, a children’s playroom, and more. Car parking spaces are on the 3/F to 8/F.
