If I can be brutally honest - I generally haven’t had great experiences with estate agents and don’t hold them in high regard. Poor communication, not listening, not being flexible (and many other things of you require a full list :) Ellen, conversely, has been amazing and genuinely made what could otherwise have been a stressful experience a real joy. From the off Ellen listened to what I was looking for, clarified my requests, and then set about showing me only properties I would be interested in. She was totally transparent in her thoughts on each instead of trying to ‘sell me’; she was super responsive; she flexed completed to my schedule and ultimately once we found a property I wanted to move into, I really felt that she went the extra mile not just to secure it but also get due diligence sorted and arrange all the start-up utilities etc. This may sound like an over the top note but I mean it with all sincerity. I only had a weekend to find a place when I moved to HK and I needed a realtor who was up to the challenge. Not only did Jayde exceed my expectations regarding expediency but she also made the process fun. In fact, she grasped my needs and preferences so well that, in the end, my greatest difficulty was deciding between two places I loved! I’ve moved almost a dozen times in my life (many times internationally), and I’ve never had such a fun or smooth experience in arranging a place to live. Jayde’s knowledge of Hong Kong, her flexible, hard-working and upbeat personality and experience in the various paperwork involved in securing accommodations make her an invaluable asset to any apartment or house hunt in Hong Kong. I really can’t recommend her strongly enough.
