Open Kitchen20 August 2014 - Open kitchen layouts have been applied to renovated studios and one bedroom apartments for some time now. Facing ever rising home prices, Hong Kong developers have begun to inject the open kitchen concept into brand new 3 bedroom units.

To make apartments look much spacious, open kitchens are to be featured in 3 bedroom units at 'Homantin Hillside' in Hung Hom. Developed by Wing Tai Properties, these apartments are sized between 900 to 1,100 sq. ft. (saleable). The inclusion of open kitchens is unusual for brand new luxury developments.

Moreover, floor plans for “The Wings IIIA” in Tseung Kwan O, were disclosed yesterday, also featuring 3 bedroom units with open kitchen layouts. 570 out of the project’s total 960 apartments are designed as open kitchen layouts. This includes 234 three bedrooms sized at 600 sq. ft..
