Tin Oi Court25 July 2014 - A 3-bedroom Home Ownership Scheme flat sized at 598 sq. ft. (net) at Tin Oi Court in Tin Shui Wai was recently leased for HK$11,300 despite its remote location and status under the scheme. The rental rate is even higher than that of private housing estate “Kingswood Villas” within the district. The transaction is the first HOS flat in Tin Shui Wai to exceed ten thousand in monthly rental.

Real estate agents said that the owner of the HOS flat bought the flat for HK$910,000 in 2004 and will now enjoy a rental yield of 15%. As the tenant is a mainlander, some real estate agents believe that he/she may have been unfamiliar with the market price and this may be the reason why the rental rate was pushed so high.
