18 July 2014 - Cheung Kong yesterday released the price list of the first batch units of Mont Vert Phase 1 in Tai Po. The Sales of First-hand Residential Properties Authority found that the developer specified in the document of sale arrangements for its 260 first batch units that all of the registrants who will have submitted the Registration of Intent on or before 25 July 2014 will have to submit the duly signed "No Viewing Agreement" on the first day of sale of the aforesaid first-hand residential properties. Should they refuse to do this, they will not be permitted to participate in the balloting.

The Sales of First-hand Residential Properties Authority pointed out that Mont Vert Phase 1 is a completed development, and the developer should not make excuses to prevent buyers from viewing show flats within this. The aforementioned sales arrangements thus commit an offence against the corresponding Ordinance and are liable to a fine of HK$500,000.

Cheung Kong replied that Mont Vert Phase 2 is still under construction and many large construction vehicles and dump trucks are frequently passing in and out at the (same) entrance of Phase 1 and Phase 2. Due to the safety concerns, the developer decided not to open the show flats for buyers’ viewing at this stage.
