Two sites in Tuen Mun receive 51 tenders

Tuen Mun16 August 2014 - The Lands Department announced a total of 51 tenders were received for two parcels of land in Tuen Mun on Friday (15 August). 27 bids were submitted for the site at Yan Ching Street, marking the most intense bidding for government land sold within the last three years. Bidding companies included Henderson Land (0012) and Sino Land (0083), with the high interest shown by developers indicating that they are keen on small unit developments.

According to the Lands Department, the total gross floor area of the Yan Ching Street site is approximately 80,478 sq. ft. The piece of land is to provide at least 125 residential units and the estimated valuation of the site amounted to HK$121 to HK$362 million.

In addition, 24 tenders were submitted for the site at Lok Chui Street in Tuen Mun. The total gross floor area of Lok Chui Street site is around 13,487 sq. ft., and the land is expected to be developed into independent villas.
