When I first discover that we were supposed to go back to HK in 2022, I started to look online for a new home.Considering that I had a new born was quite stressful to even figure out how to do apartment hunting. I started my first conversation with Sonam via WhatsApp while I was still in Italy, she understood my needs and reassure me that we would have plenty of choices for viewings once I arrived in HK. The good part is that we had this conversations via WhatsApp even if I was far away, most of the other agents didn’t want to even communicate with me so much as I was not in Hong Kong yet! We kept in touch exchanging messages till we first met in February. She showed me around and she was extremely kind and patient as I had my baby with me at all times during viewings. Well…comes out that thanks to her we found the apartment that met all our needs in Mid-Levels with also an amazing landlord. She does not just communicate for sake of winning business but genuinely tries to understand client’s situation and circumstances, and then customises suitable viewings. She has the domain knowledge and understands the local nuances, which definitely helps in case of an expats. She is quick, communicates effectively and shares her views, often highlighting cons of why a place may not suit despite client going ‘Wow’ at first glance. She is thorough on documentation, commands good understanding of tenancy agreement and market nuances. More importantly, she is very good at negotiating with the landlord/agent, provides counter points and alternatives and strives to work in my/tenants best interest. I found Sonam to have the best interest of the client and would recommend potential tenants to request her help in finding their new home in Hong Kong.
