Opening A Bank Account in Hong Kong
  Jan 18 2016

Banks in Hong Kong are well versed in international and multi-currency operations and should be able to handle your needs.  You will need to fill in the pertinent bank’s application forms and make a small deposit of, say HK$ 2,000. You can choose to transfer funds from your home bank account to your new Hong Kong account by wire transfer, the most convenient and secure method. In order to do so, you will need to provide the following:

  • Name of the Bank, Branch and its address
  • ABA or SWIFT number of Bank, depending on where your bank is located (your banker will know which is applicable).
  • Account Name and Number
